The Springville Road Regional Library, Jessica C. Burton, a Crime Prevention  Specialist with the Birmingham Police Department's East Precinct, will visit the library to talk to patrons about her job while sipping coffee with them between 11 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  The Birmingham Public Library is proud to partner with the Birmingham Police Department's Coffee with a Cop program, which BPD offers throughout the community and resumed this year.  City of Birmingham police officers and Jefferson County sheriff's deputies put their lives on the line to protect citizens in our neighborhoods, schools, libraries, parks, and other places. To show appreciation, please join Jessica Burton of the East Precinct for conversation and coffee.   BPL hosted several Coffee with a Cop programs in 2019 to help patrons learn more about the important role police play in protecting communities throughout the city of Birmingham.
