Birmingham Residents Part Of University Of Alabama Co-Op Program
The students alternate periods of full-time study and periods of full-time employment with companies from around the country.
TUSCALOOSA, AL —Three Birmingham residents are among a group of 165 University of Alabama students currently receiving hands-on, advanced educational experiences with companies and organizations as part of the university's 2022 Spring Semester Cooperative Education Program, the school announced.
Students in the program alternate periods of full-time study and periods of full-time employment with companies and organizations, which are located throughout the country. The program offers work related to the academic major or career interests of each student, according to the university.
While in school, students carry regular course schedules. But while on co-op, the students work with professionals in their fields, who supervise their training and work.

At work, these co-op students earn competitive salaries and even may receive benefit packages in addition to valuable job experience.
