Birmingham Teen Found Dead In Shelby County Hotel Parking Lot
Sheriff's deputies found a 17-year-old dead in a car in a hotel parking lot in North Shelby County.
SHELBY COUNTY, AL — A Birmingham teenager was found dead Sunday morning in a vehicle parked at a Shelby County hotel. The 17-year-old victim has been identified as Stanley M. Turner II. He was a student at Ramsay High School.
Just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning, Shelby county deputies responded to a nose complaint at the Sonesta Extended Stay Suites on Greenhill Parkway in northern Shelby County.
After the deputies arrived on scene, they found Turner deceased in a parked vehicle. Investigators, along with the Shelby County Coroner’s Office, responded to the scene and are investigating this as a homicide.

This is an ongoing homicide investigation, and the Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the circumstances leading to Stanley M. Turner II’s death or anyone who has recently seen or talked with him to call CrimeStoppers at (205) 254-7777.
