BIRMINGHAM, AL - Birmingham's local music scene has gained national attention over the years, and many of the city's local musicians have been honored internationally. The Magic City has become somewhat of a "Music City" when it comes to local talent, and much of that success comes from the city's music venues. Not long ago, Birmingham did not have as many live music venues as it does now, and this has increased the city's reputation as a true music destination.

After consulting polling sites such as Yelp, BhamRocks and AXS, Patch has compiled a list of the top 10 live music venues in Birmingham:
