Body Discovered In Village Creek
A dead body was found Monday in Village Creek off Tallapoosa Street in eastern Birmingham.
BIRMINGHAM, AL - A person picking up trash near Village Creek Monday morning made a gruesome discovery. A dead body was found in the creek just off Interstate 59/20 near 17th Avenue North.
A report by Alabama Media Group said the discovery was made about 10:30 a.m., and Birmingham PD spokesman Officer Rod Mauldin said they don’t yet know if the body is that of a male or female and they are working to identify the person.

The search and recovery led to the closure of the Tallapoosa Street exits off of the interstate.
