Body Found Next To Railroad Tracks In Bessemer

A man was found dead next to railroad tracks in Bessemer, and police are investigating his death.

BESSEMER, AL — A man was found dead next to some railroad tracks in Bessemer Monday night. An Alabama Media Group report said the body was discovered around 8:30 p.m. Monday, and an investigation into the man's death is underway.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as James Neal Sanderson. He was found near tracks at Alabama Avenue and Division Street.
