Boutwell Auditorium Will Be A Drop-Off Site For Non-Perishable Items For Tornado Survivors

Organizers will collect items from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Feb. 1 through Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Mayor Randall L. Woodfin has arranged for Boutwell Auditorium to function as a drop-off location for items to help tornado survivors in northern Jefferson County, Feb. 1 – 3. An EF 3 tornado hit Fultondale, Center Point and the northern part of the county on Monday, Jan. 25. The address is 1930 Abraham Woods Blvd. CLOTHES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Organizers will collect items from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Feb. 1 through Wednesday, Feb. 3. Motorists may drive up and someone will remove the items from their vehicle.

The following non-perishable items will be collected:

  • Canned goods
  • Garden rakes
  • Large trash bags
  • Work gloves
  • Masks
  • Hand sanitizer and wipes
  • Disinfectants
  • Small tarps
  • Individually wrapped snack items, including honey buns and protein bars.

Christian Service Mission will transport the items.
