Boyfriend Charged In Death Of Midfield Woman

MIDFIELD, AL — The boyfriend of Tiffany Osborne — a 30-year-old mother of three who was found dead in April after having been reported missing since February — has been charged with the Midfield woman's murder.

Cedric Earl Watts Jr., 36, has been charged with murder and is being held without bond at Jefferson County Jail.

Osborne was reported missing Feb. 17 after Watts told police she left their home to walk to a nearby store and never returned. Osborne's body was discovered April 1 by utility workers in an area off of Lakeshore Parkway and Turin Drive in Bessemer.

Police said they believe a dispute took place between Osborne and Watts leading to Osborne being shot. Police say Watts then transported and dumped her body where it would later be found. The car police believe was used to transport Osborne's body was recovered by Midfield police in Georgia.
