  2. A shooting victim reportedly crashed his bullet-riddled car outside of a Birmingham fire station on Monday afternoon. Birmingham Fire and Rescue said a man who had been shot in the back drove up to Station 25 on Wilson Road SW and crashed. Firefighters helped the shooting victim until he could be taken to UAB with life-threatening injuries. (WVTM13 Birmingham)
  3. The University of Alabama at Birmingham has announced that it will be waiving the requirement for students to submit standardized scores through the fall of 2024. In 2020, UAB launched a pilot program making SAT and ACT score submission an optional part of the admissions application. Officials say they will study admissions data over the next two years, adding that 60 percent of UAB's 2021 test-optional enrollees were from underrepresented backgrounds. (WIAT - CBS42.com)
