This fall, BPL received a $2,000 “Libraries Connecting you to Coverage” award from the Public Library Association. As a participant in this 2020-21 initiative, BPL will use the funds to support health insurance enrollment activities. Here are four insider tips for choosing the right ACA health plan:
1. No two health plans are the same. Look at all your options, even if you are re-enrolling.
2. Consider the monthly bill for each health plan as well as the extra costs, like copay's, for doctor visits.
3. Make sure your trusted doctors and hospitals take the plan you choose.
4. See if the prescriptions you take will be covered by the plan.
Remember, the Birmingham Public Library is ALWAYS open 24/7 through our FREE online digital resources.
