National Craft Month was established in 1994 by the Craft & Hobby Association to help people rediscover and learn about the wonderful world of crafting and its many benefits. Research indicates that crafting can help those who suffer from anxiety, depression or chronic pain. Crafting may also ease stress and may even protect the brain from aging. Of course, at Avondale Library, every month is craft month! Grab & Go craft kits are available for pick-up curbside or inside the library during our regularly scheduled hours.

We’re celebrating spring this March, starting with Bunny and Chick origami corner bookmarks. We’ll also be celebrating National Plant a Flower Day (March 12th) with Grab & Go seed starter kits! Call 205-226-4000 or drop by the circulation desk for more information.
