Brighton Man Arrested For Trafficking Heroin
Investigators executed a search warrant for drugs Friday morning at a residence in Brighton.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office announced an arrest has been made after investigators executed a search warrant for drugs Friday morning at a residence in the 100 block of Brighton Avenue. Pierre Dwonkenis Brown , 21, of Brighton, was charged with Trafficking Heroin, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he is currently held with no bond.
Acting on information gathered during a month-long investigation into heroin sales in western Jefferson County, narcotics investigators obtained a search warrant for the residence. During the search of the residence deputies seized approximately 28 grams of heroin, one pound of marijuana, prescription narcotics, four handguns, four rifles, and cash. The street value of the drugs is approximately $6,600. Two of the rifles had been reported stolen during thefts in Irondale and Clanton.
The case will be reviewed for possible federal firearms charges.
