Brinks Truck Robbed Outside Birmingham ATM

An armored truck was robbed outside a BBVA Compass ATM in Roebuck Monday.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - An armored Brinks truck was robbed Monday in Roebuck outside a BBVA Compass ATM. The holdup happened at 8:20 a.m. at the stand-alone ATM in the 9200 block of Parkway East.

A report by Alabama Media Group said the unknown suspect used a chemical spray on the delivery driver. The driver was treated on the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service medics. Police said the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash from the Brinks truck.
