Bus Carrying UAB Employees Crashes In Winston County

A bus full of UAB employees returning from Camp McDowell crashed in Winston County. Multiple injuries are reported.

WINSTON COUNTY, AL - Paramedics are working to rescue 28 people injured in a bus wreck in the Arley/Houston area of Winston County. The bus was full of UAB employees who were returning to campus from Camp McDowell, reports say.

Six of those patients are critical and three have been air-lifted to UAB for treatment. Five of the less severely injured patients are being taken to Cullman Regional Hospital. The other 18 were treated at the scene. The bus was the only vehicle involved in the wreck. A report by UAB said all patients have been updated to stable status.
