Kiddie Academy of Meadowbrook-Birmingham will host Hero Play Day on Friday, July 10 at 5 p.m. for infants to 12-year-olds. Families are invited to attend this free community event designed to help children recognize and celebrate their personal heroes.

The new hands-on event will be an opportunity for children to dress up as their favorite superhero and participate in “training” stations set up around the Academy, including obstacle courses, strength tests and kindness missions.

Refreshments will be provided. Join Ebenezer Baptist Church for a day of fun---and learning---at the 2026 Career and Health Fair, Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church.
"This is an opportunity for people to come out discover ways of changing their mindset around barriers that get in the way of progress," said Cassandra Hollins, a member of the church and organizing committee. "We want to help people succeed in every area of their life, including their health, their education, and even employment opportunities."
