City Of Birmingham To Operate Warming Station At Boutwell Auditorium Dec. 24-26

Freezing temperatures are predicted for those evenings.

BIRMINGHAM, AL – Dec. 21, 2020 – The City of Birmingham will host a warming station at Boutwell Auditorium Dec. 24, 25 and 26 because freezing temperatures are predicted for those evenings. The warming station’s operating hours will be 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. each day. Boutwell Auditorium is located at 1930 Rev. Abraham Woods Blvd.

Crews will accept the following items:

* New coats, blankets, skull caps, gloves and scarves
* Individually wrapped snacks such as grain bars, crackers, chips, honey buns, etc.

Donors may pull in front of Boutwell, where someone will unload their vehicle. Donations may be dropped off on Dec. 21, 22 and 23 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. On Dec. 24 and 25, people may drop off donations after 3 p.m.
