Coronavirus Deaths In Alabama Top 1,400
The Alabama Department of Public Health has now confirmed more than 1,400 COVID-19 deaths.
MONTGOMERY, AL — Alabama passed another pandemic milestone Saturday, as the state has now confirmed more than 1,400 deaths from COVID-19 since the pandemic began in March. The Alabama Department of Public Health reported 18 new COVID-19 deaths Saturday, bringing the state total to 1,413.
Another milestone was reached by Jefferson County, as the state's most populated county passed 10,000 total cases of the virus, adding 286 new cases in the last 24 hours. Jefferson County has also reported 200 deaths from COVID-19.
Total, Alabama has reported 76,314 COVID-19 cases, with 23,843 of those cases confirmed in the last two weeks. The state reports that 32,510 patients are presumed to have recovered from the virus after a positive test, and 1,524 patients are currently hospitalized.

- Jefferson County: 286 new cases; 10,095 total
- Mobile County: 195 new cases; 7,096 total
- Baldwin County: 147 new cases; 2,620 total
- Madison County: 102 new cases; 4,142 total
- Tuscaloosa County: 95 new cases; 3,506 total
