Coronavirus: Jefferson County To Provide Sack Lunches, Formula

In the wake of the coronavirus, the Jefferson County Committee for Economic Opportunity is preparing to serve the community on March 23, 24.

BIRMINGHAM, AL—The Jefferson County Committee for Economic Opportunity is preparing to serve the community over the next couple of days in the wake of the coronavirus.

According to county officials, there will be a formula giveaway Monday, March, 23 at Legion Field parking lot.

Formula will be distributed 10 a.m.-noon for JCCEO Early Head Start children ages six weeks to 1-year-old. From 1 to 2 p.m., the general public will be served while supplies last.

On Tuesday, March 24, JCCEO will be distributing sack lunches at the local housing developments (listed below) between noon and 2 p.m. This is on a first come first serve basis:

1. Loveman Village
2. Park Place Apartments
3. Smithfield Court
4. South Town
5. Tom Brown Village
6. Marks Village
7. Elyton Village
8. Morton Simpson
9. Cooper Green
10. Collegeville
11. North Birmingham Homes
12. Tarrant Public Housing
