Death Of 1-Year-Old Girl Under Investigation In Birmingham
A 1-year-old girl died Thursday from blunt force trauma, and Birmingham police have launched an investigation into the case.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A one-year-old girl died Thursday in Birmingham, about a month after suffering from blunt force trauma, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.
Birmingham police said Kar'Mynn Brachelle Gaines suffered the injuries Nov. 16 in the 600 block of Carraway Boulevard. She died at Children's of Alabama Thursday afternoon.
Police were unable to provide more information on the case, only saying they have launched an investigation into the girl's death.
