Doug Jones Announces First Official Alabama State Tour

Senator Doug Jones will be in Alabama February 19-23, making stops in several of the state's largest cities throughout the week.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Senator Doug Jones will do a tour of Alabama for the first time since being sworn into office in January. His tour will highlight key priorities for the different communities he plans to visit, including rural healthcare, defense, infrastructure, workforce development, and education. The tour includes stops in Mobile, Selma, Centreville, Birmingham, Muscle Shoals, Huntsville and Montgomery.

“It’s been a privilege to represent Alabama in Washington, but there’s nothing like getting home and hearing from folks first-hand," Jones said. "I’m eager to hit the road and visit with as many Alabamians across the state as I can next week. We’re going to focus on the issues that are most important to our communities, from healthcare to jobs to education,”

Jones will be in Mobile February 19 and will visit Bishop State College for a roundtable discussion regarding issues facing HBCU students. The next day he will be in Selma and Centreville to discuss infrastructure, healthcare and education with Selma mayor Dario Melton at the Selma Performing Arts Center. He will then tour the Rural Health Medial Program and the Cahaba Medical Care Foundation.
