Drive-By Shooting Under Investigation In Jefferson County

Jefferson County Sheriff's investigators say shots were fired from a vehicle into a home, injuring a teenager.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — An investigation is underway after shots were fired into a home in Jefferson County Wednesday. The incident occurred just after 8 p.m. in the 1200 block of Birchwood Street.

Deputy Chief David Agee of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said witnesses reported that a vehicle drove by and fired shots into a home. Agee said no one in the home was hit by bullets, but a 15-year-old victim in the home was cut by broken glass.

No suspects are in custody.
