Fairfield Shooting: 2 Victims Wounded By Gunfire
Two victims were hospitalized after a shooting in Fairfield Saturday.
FAIRFIELD, AL — Two men were taken to a local hospital Saturday after gunfire broke out in Fairfield just after midnight.
A report from the Jefferson County Sheriff's office said the shooting occurred in front of the Marathon gas station on Aaron Aronov Drive in Fairfield.
Deputies located the victims who had left the scene and stopped in the 500 block of 42nd Street, and found that two of the three occupants of the car had been wounded by gunfire. The men said that they were driving home when a car started following them and then began to shoot at them. The men say that they did not know who the offenders were.

The injured men were taken to the hospital for treatment, and one man has been released. The condition of the other man is unknown.
