Flash Flood Warning Issued For Birmingham Metro

A flash flood warning has been issued for the Birmingham area until 1:45 p.m.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Flash Flood Warning in effect for metro Birmingham until 1:45 p.m. Monday.

The NWS posted on social media to "Watch out for flooded roads, and remember to turn around, don’t drown!! Radar image is showing estimates a little over 3” with more rainfall expected within the next couple of hours."

The NWS indicated that some of the areas likely to experience flooding include Birmingham, Vestavia Hills, Bessemer, Hoover, Tarrant, Center Point, Pinson, Adamsville and Clay.
