Former Shades Valley Gridiron Star Makes The Grade At The Citadel
Shades Valley alum and football standout Tyus Carter made the Southern Conference Academic Honor roll as a student at The Citadel.
BIRMINGHAM, AL - Former Shades Valley High School football standout and defensive back for The Citadel Tyus Carter is making a good name for himself on and off the football field.
Carter, a Shades Valley Class of 2013 graduate, was was one of 163 Citadel cadet-athletes named to the 2017-18 Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

The Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll consists of student-athletes at member institutions who achieve at least a 3.0 grade-point average for the academic year while being a member of the final squad list during their sport's traditional season. Recipients must have been eligible to compete throughout the entire academic year.
