Homicide Suspect From Nov. 2 Shooting In Custody

A 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a homicide from the evening of Nov. 2.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to a shooting from Nov. 2 that left a 57-year-old man dead.

David Scarborough, 48, has been charged with the murder of 57-year-old Efrem Fulford. The incident occurred at approximately 11:37 p.m. Nov. 2 at 3838 39th Court North. Sgt. Johnny Williams of the Birmingham Police Department said Scarborough was injured in the incident and transported to JAB Hospital where he recovered from his wounds before being arrested and taken to Jefferson County Jail.

Williams said investigators determined the shooting was the result of an argument between Scarborough and Fulford.

Scarborough is charged with murder and is being held in the Jefferson County Jail.
