Hospitalizations For Coronavirus In Alabama Lowest In Months
Alabama added more than 700 new coronavirus cases Wednesday, but reported its lowest number of hospitalizations in more than two months.
MONTGOMERY, AL — While confirming 701 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, the Alabama Department of Public Health also reported the fewest number of patients hospitalized with the virus since July.
The state also confirmed eight deaths from COVID-19 Wednesday, bringing Alabama fatality total to 2,161. Of the 122,580 total cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Alabama, 54,223 are presumed to have recovered from the virus.
The ADPH reported that 778 patients are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, the lowest total since the beginning of July when 775 were reported hospitalized.

- Jefferson County: 94 new cases; 16,883 total
- Shelby County: 53 new cases; 4,441 total
- Mobile County: 52 new cases; 12,364 total
- Baldwin County: 30 new cases; 4,639 total
- Tuscaloosa County: 30 new cases; 5,395 total
