Huntsville Man Charged After Police Chase Through Homewood

A man who led police on a chase through Homewood over the weekend has been charged with multiple offenses.

HOMEWOOD, AL — A Huntsville man who reportedly led police on a chase through Homewood Sunday has been charged with multiple offenses. Paul McCary, 36, has been charged with two counts of burglary, resisting arrest, attempting to elude and reckless endangerment.

McCary was driving a stolen vehicle when he led police on a chase that ended when he crashed the vehicle into a building on Green Springs Highway.

The burglaries occurred prior to the pursuit in the 100 block of Woodmont Drive and at a medical office at Brookwood Hospital.

McCary is in Jefferson County Jail on a total bond of $10,600.
