Jasper Voters Approve Sunday Alcohol Sales

A special election Tuesday in Jasper resulted in an approval of Sunday alcohol sales in Jasper.

JASPER, AL - A special election in Jasper Tuesday resulted in the approval of Sunday alcohol sales for the city. Jasper will join Carbon Hill, Cordova and Dora as the only cities in Walker County to allow sales of alcohol on Sundays.

According to a report by Alabama Media Group, numbers show 1,258 voted yes on Sunday sales; 692 voted no. A small number of absentee ballots remain to be counted.
