Jefferson County Courthouse Set To Reopen Friday
After more than a month closed, the Jefferson County Courthouse will reopen Friday, with restrictions.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — After nearly a month being closed to the public, the Jefferson County Courthouse will reopen Friday. The Jefferson County commission made the announcement Wednesday, but also urged residents to continue to conduct business with the county online whenever possible.
- Some of the safety measures put in place:
- New plexiglass shields are being added to all public facing counters.
- The courthouse will be cleaned according to CDC guidelines.
- Social distancing is required for ALL waiting for services
- Employees and customers will abide by the City of Birmingham’s ordinance requiring face coverings in public.
