Jefferson County Man Accused Of Burglary
A man was arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and charged with burglary of a home in North Jefferson County.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A 26-year-old Jefferson County man has been arrested and charged with burglary after breaking into a home near Pinson Thursday evening.
Just before 6 p.m. on June 14, Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a home in the 8600 block of Old Bradford Road north of Pinson. Deputies arrived quickly and saw 26-year-old Jacob Ian Peters running away from the home. He was captured after a brief foot chase, and was found to have outstanding warrants for Probation Violations and Burglary.

Peters was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he was held with no bond on the outstanding warrants. On Friday afternoon deputies obtained additional arrest warrants charging him with Burglary 3rd Degree, Resisting Arrest, Attempting to Elude, Theft of Property 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree and Obstructing Justice with False ID.
