Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Shooting

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred Monday night in Mulga. Just before 9:30 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to a home on Shady Grove Road to investigate a report of a person who had been shot. The victim, an adult male was able to tell deputies that he had gone to meet two girls in Mulga and when he arrived, a man he knows only as “Little D” shot him. He drove himself away from the scene and stopped at the house on Shady Grove Rd to ask for help.

The victim was unable to provide the location of the shooting or a description of the shooter. He was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
