July 17 Runoff Election: What You Need To Know

Tuesday, July 17 features primary runoffs for several statewide and local elections.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Amidst so much news happening nationally regarding politics, Alabama voters may have forgotten that primary runoffs take place Tuesday, July 17, featuring elections for nominations in several statewide and local elections.

The first tip voters need to know before heading to the polls Tuesday is that there is no crossover voting allowed in the runoff. If you voted in the Republican primary, you can only vote in the Republican runoff, and if you voted in the Democratic primary, you can only vote in the Democratic runoff.
