Latest Poll Shows Two Birmingham Hospitals Among the Nation's Best

A survey from U.S. News and World Report shows two of Birmingham's hospitals rank among the best in the country in several specialties.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Two hospitals in Birmingham received national attention this week, as U.S. News and World Report released its annual rankings of the best hospitals in the country for 2017-18 - ranking more than 4,500 medical centers in the U.S. in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions. The rankings also looked at the best hospitals in every state and the 20 hospitals that made it to the honor roll, a distinction given to hospitals that deliver exceptional treatment across multiple specialties.

The University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital was named the top hospital in Alabama in the study, And Children's of Alabama was named the top children's hospital in the state, with both hospitals ranking among the top hospitals nationally in several specialties.
