Local Brewery Partners With Louisiana Brewery

A popular Birmingham brewery is forging a partnership with a longtime Louisiana brewery keep up with demand.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - One of Birmingham's most popular breweries will join forces with a longtime Louisiana brewery to meet the increasing demand for its beer. Birmingham's Trim Tab Brewery announced it has forged an agreement with Abita Brewing Company in Louisiana, a partnership that would allow Trim Tab to use Abita's facilities to brew and package their beers.

The problem Trim Tab is trying to address with this new partnership is - in a business sense - a good one to have in that the brewery has nort been able to produce enough beer to keep on shelves, according to the company. Trim Tab's Paradise Now Raspberry Berliner Weisse has become its most popular beer, and has also been named one of the fastest selling microbrews in the country. While high demand is a good problem to have, being unable to meet that demand can hurt business.

According to reports by Alabama Media Group, TrimTab isn't hiring Abita's staff to brew their beers, but just using Abita's facility.
