Man Accused Of Exposing Himself In Gardendale Store Arrested
A man arrested for allegedly exposing himself to customers in a Gardendale store was arrested on a similar charge years ago.
GARDENDALE, AL - A man accused of exposing himself to customers in a Gardendale grocery store June 13 has been arrested. Police say the suspect, George Cannon of Mt. Olive, has been arrested on a similar offense before.
Cannon's photo was released by police June 19 and he was identified soon after. He was arrested and released from jail after posting a $1,000 bond.
According to a report by Alabama Media Group, Cannon was arrested in 2013 on a charge of public lewdness. Charging documents in the 2013 case state that incident happened at a Dollar General store in Gardendale, during which Cannon was standing where a female employee could see him and "had his hand on his crotch while standing in her line he was staring at her while touching himself, got back into her line and he kept his hand on his penis and stroked it while staring at her and when he got to her counter he placed his penis on the counter and stated, ‘Hey sexy.’"

Cannon was sentenced to 30 days in jail for the 2013 offense and given a two-year probation period. He was also trespassed from Dollar General and ordered to not have any future contact with the victim in the 2013 case.
