Man Dies In Car Accident In Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A single-vehicle wreck Saturday near Hueytown resulted in the death of a 27-year-old man. The incident occurred aroind 10:30 p.m.

Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the investigation into the wreck, which occurred in the 3400 block of 15th St Road in unincorporated Jefferson County, indicated that a 2013 Kia Soul left the roadway and struck a utility pole before traveling down an embankment and hitting a tree.

Money said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
