Man Dies In Monday Morning Shooting In North Birmingham
A 58-year-old man died in his Birmingham home after an apparent drive-by shooting early Monday morning.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A 58-year-old man was killed in his Birmingham home in an apparent drive-by shooting early Monday morning. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as William Morris.
An Alabama Media Group report said Birmingham police officers responded just after 2 a.m. to a house in the 4200 block of Fairmont Way on a call of a shooting. Morris was reportedly lying on the living room sofa, suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Services pronounced the victim dead on the scene at 2:50 a.m.
Investigators believe someone fired shots from outside the home, police said. No suspects are in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
