Man Killed In Christmas Day Shooting In Fairfield
A shooting in a public housing complex in Fairfield took the life of 27-year-old Romero Deon McMorris Christmas Day.
BIRMINGHAM, AL - A shooting in Fairfield Christmas Day claimed the life of a 27-year-old man in an apartment complex behind Miles College. Romero Deon McMorris was shot and killed Christmas morning at approximately 7:15.
A report by Alabama Media Group said McMorris was taken to UAB Hospital’s Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead at 8:15 a.m. The shooting reportedly followed a dispute between McMorris and another man.

Fairfield police Chief Nick Dyer said no arrests have been made at this point and the investigation is ongoing. McMorris is Fairfield’s seventh homicide for 2018.
