Man Killed In Hit And Run Incident At Birmingham Gas Station
A 46-year-old man was killed in an apparent hit and run incident over the weekend in Birmingham.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A reported hit and run incident over Labor Day weekend claimed the life of a 46-year-old Birmingham man. The incident occurred Monday at 3:30 a.m. at a gas station in the 1100 block of Third Avenue West.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as Eduardo Diaz Vasquez. Police say Vasquez was apparently trying to cross the street when he was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of the Exxon station.
An Alabama Media Group report the driver of the small silver sedan that struck the victim fled the scene.
