1 Teen Killed, Another Injured In Birmingham Shooting
An early morning shooting Monday left a 16-year-old boy dead and a 15-year-old girl hospitalized.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A shooting early Monday morning left a 16-year-old boy dead and a 15-year-old girl hospitalized. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. at 6th Street and St. Charles Avenue SW in Birmingham. The Birmingham Police Department has identified the deceased as James Looney of Birmingham.
Sgt. Rodarius Mauldin of the Birmingham PD said when officers arrived at the scene, they found the male victim unresponsive. The man was pronounced dead on the scene. A teen girl was also found on the scene to have been hot by stray gunfire, Mauldin said.
The girl was taken to Children's of Alabama with life-threatening injuries, where she remains as of Tuesday.

There are no suspects in custody.
