Man Shot Outside Fairfield Waffle House
A man was shot early Friday morning outside the Waffle House restaurant at 636 Bessemer Super Highway.
FAIRFIELD, AL — A man was shot early Friday morning outside a Waffle House restaurant in Fairfield. A Jefferson County Sheriff's office report said the shooting occurred just after 4 a.m. at 636 Bessemer Super Highway.
Deputy Chief David Agee said Midfield police alerted deputies of the shooting. The 22-year-old victim told deputies that after he received his order, he walked outside the restaurant and people in the parking lot shot at him.
The victim was hit by a bullet but was able to flee the scene and seek medical help, Agee said. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries and able to return to the scene and talk to detectives.
