Shooter At Sirote & Permutt Law Office Still At Large

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A man washing cars in the upper parking lot of the Sitote & Permutt law office in the Highland Park area of Birmingham was shot Thursday. The victim is the owner of Mobile Detailing and Pressure Washing. The shooter is still at large, according to police.

An employee of the car-washing company told Alabama Media Group a dispute erupted between one of his co-workers and their boss. The employee pulled out a gun and fired multiple times. The witness said he did not know the nature of the argument.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service radio traffic indicated the victim was shot in the mouth and back, but that has not been confirmed. The victim was reportedly alert and conscious when he was transported to the hospital.

A businessman was on the top of the parking deck when the shooting happened. He said he heard multiple shots, and then called 911. The suspect is not in custody.
