Man Struck And Killed By Train In Birmingham
A man was killed Sunday night when he was hit by a train along 16th Avenue North.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A man was killed Sunday night when he was struck by a train on tracks in the 2000 block of 16th Street North in Birmingham. The incident occurred just after 8:30 p.m.
An Alabama Media Group report said Birmingham police and medics responded to the crash site after railroad workers called 911 to report someone had been hit while walking on the tracks.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene at 9:15 p.m. Coroner’s officials said his name is being withheld until they can find his relatives.
