McCalla Woman Charged In Death Of Child Born Addicted To Heroin
A woman who has had a warrant against her for two years was arrested and charged in the death of her child, who was born addicted to heroin.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A woman who had a warrant for her arrest outstanding for two years related to the death of her child was finally arrested. Krissy Beck, 31, was taken into custody on Sept. 17.
According to an Alabama Media Group report, Beck’s newborn daughter was born addicted to heroin on Oct. 2, 2016. The little girl was not able to recover and eventually was placed on hospice. She died March 20, 2017.
Despite efforts to find Beck, she remained at large until her arrest two weeks ago during a traffic stop. She is charged with chemical endangerment of a child causing death, with a bond set at $60,000.
