Miles College To Only Offer Online Courses During Summer Semester
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Miles College will only offer online classes for the summer semester.
FAIRFIELD, AL — In continuing its efforts to provide a safe and stable educational environment during the coronavirus pandemic, Miles College has elected to offer only online academic courses for the Summer 2020 semester. This decision was made with approval from SACSCOC.
"Miles College has been proactive in protecting its students, faculty and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, so that when we all return to campus, the environment will be safe and welcoming for everyone," said Bobbie Knight, Miles College president. "After careful consideration, we have elected to continue our current academic delivery through our Online College for the Summer 2020 semester. I can’t imagine a better way to give our students the opportunity to advance their academic pursuits than by making our course offerings available while continuing to practice social distancing."
Since March, Miles College has remained open and served its students through an assortment of online programs. Students have had access to coursework, instructors and administrators have remained accessible and available, and student services and social programs have been active during the shutdown of the physical campus.
