FAIRFIELD, AL — The impact of COVID-19 has brought with it an increased demand on college campuses for testing and preventative medicine, as well as wellness and mental health needs among college students. Miles College is addressing this concern as the school opens its new Student Health and Wellness Center Friday.

Miles College president Bobbie Knight and her administrative leadership team plan to expand access to health and wellness services to every student on the campus of Miles College.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has intensified the way we assess and address the wellness needs of our students,” Knight said. “Our goal is to provide our students with
resources and connect them early to licensed health service providers with hopes to shatter any stigma that may come with seeking them out.”
