Deputies arrested a 28-year-old man, one of two who committed a residential burglary Wednesday.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A 28-year-old man from Minor was arrested by Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies Wednesday for a residential burglary. Just before 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress at an address in the 3200 block of Central Avenue in Minor. It was reported that two men were taking items from the house and loading them into a white Honda Accord. The suspects left in the car just prior to the arrival of deputies.
A description of the car was broadcast to other deputies in the area and it was spotted nearby. When a deputy turned around to stop the car the driver accelerated and began driving erratically. The deputy lost sight of the car. A witness pointed out that the car had driven into a driveway at a home in the 1000 block of Oak Street. Both suspects had fled on foot.
One of the suspects was reported to have entered a house in the 100 block of Forest Avenue. Deputies went to this residence and were allowed inside to search for the suspect. One of the suspects was found inside and arrested. The second suspect was not located, but has been identified.
