Missing Persons: Birmingham Teen Found, Bessemer Woman Missing

In separate missing persons cases, a 15-year-old Birmingham girl and a 26-year-old woman from Bessemer have been reported missing.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — In separate cases, a 15-year-old Birmingham girl and a 26-year-old Bessemer woman were reported missing last week. One has been found safe, while another remains missing.

Sgt. Johnny Williams of the Birmingham Police Department said that detectives conducted a missing person investigation for Lyric Montel Hayes,15, of Birmingham. Lyric is a Wenonah High School student who had not been seen since Wednesday. She was reported missing by her father who returned to pick her up after school and she could not be located, police said. Lyric was found safe Sunday night, police said

In an unrelated case, the the Bessemer Police Department announced Sunday that they are searching for 26-year-old Nicasia Destiny Fields.

Police said Fields was last seen in the Burstall area of Bessemer on Thursday December 19, around 10 a.m. Police said she was wearing blue jeans and a black tank top, carrying an overnight bag.

These two cases add to another missing persons case in which 29-year-old Paighton Laine Houston of Trussville was seen leaving the Ton Roof on 7th Avenue South just before 11 p.m. Saturday.
