Missing Woman Found Dead In Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A missing 38-year-old woman was found dead in Birmingham May 17. Christy Bridgemon's body was discovered at 2209 Center Street North by Birmingham police.

Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said Bridgemon was discovered unresponsive on the floor of the home after she was not seen nor heard from in days. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Mauldin said Bridgemon's death is being investigated as a homicide.
