Murder-Suicide Result Of Lovers' Quarrel: Police
A man took his own life after reportedly killing his girlfriend in Birmingham Sunday night.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A man and woman are dead after an apparent murder-suicide incident in Birmingham Sunday night. Police say a man shot and killed his girlfriend at an apartment at 819 30th Street South, before stealing a car and taking his own life.
A report by ABC 33/40 said 28-year-old Jameria Howard was found lying in the parking lot of a Southside apartment unresponsive with a gunshot wound around 11 p.m. Sunday. She was transported to UAB hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Later in the evening, officers responded to a different call of a person shot at 616 5th Place. They found 34-year-old Danny Hagler suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to UAB hospital and pronounced dead.

Police say their investigation revealed that Hagler and Howard lived together and were in a relationship. Witnesses said the couple had been fighting prior to the shootings.
